The First 60+ Years
1945 - The First time the current camp property was seen.
1946 - Submission of the first congressional bill requesting the land purchase
1947 - The camp meeting held as a gathering for Christian workers
1948 - Congressional bill approved and the original 39.66 acres were purchased
1949 - Construction of the first lodge begun
1951 - Alaska Mission is incorporated with 16 charter member (later called Arctic Missions, Inc.)
1952 - Title received for the original land purchase and bill presented for additional 40 acres
1956 - Addition of 100 acres purchased fr a neighboring homesteader
1958 - First caretakers stay through the winter season
1959 - Victory High School begins
1968 - John Gillespie resigns as director of Victory Bible Camp and Conference Grounds
1970 - Ranch Camp begins
1971 - Teepee Camp begins
1973 - Arctic Missions, Inc. (later to become InterAct Ministries, Inc.) and Victory Bible Camps merge
1977 - Wilderness Camp begins
1982 - Closing of Victory High School
1985 - Camp Li-Wa joins Victory Bible Camp
1993 - Victory Ministries, Inc. becomes independent from InterAct Ministries, Inc.
1994 - Russina ministry begins at Victory Bible Camp
1996 - Summer missionaries and teachers first sent to Russia
1997 - Construction beings on "Project 2000"
2009 - Brian Headdings joined Victory Ministries as Chief Operations Officer
